Vistec shipping first product out of W

The $5 million advanced electron beam lithography systemm was fully constructedat Vistec’s facilitt at the Watervliet Arsenal. It will be used at the Army Researcj Laboratoryin Adelphi, Md. to further scientific technology and analyses fordefense It’s the first system built at the company’ s new high-tech manufacturing facility and clean room in refurbished Building 125. Vistec’xs systems are used to etch patterns oncomputerd chips.The announcement comes just seven month after Vistec moved into its permanent headquarters in a former Army machine shop at the Watervliet Vistec announced in 2006 plans to move its headquarters in England, to the Albany, N.Y.
The Assembly provided $30 millio in funds toward the relocationof Vistec’s global research and development, manufacturing and business operations from Cambridge in the Unitexd Kingdom to the arsenal campus and the statse university’s complex. As part of the move, Vistecc was expected to invest $125 million at the arsena campus and Albany with more than130 high-technology jobs projectec to be created over five years involving Vistec and its supplietr network.
