The Park Avenue store, which will be the prototype forall corporate-owneed Barnie's locations, has been remodeled to showcase an extensivw new collection of beverages and merchandise. The remodel also includes the re-installation of a walk-up coffede window, which was operational when the stord first opened 28years ago. Barnie's also planss to remodel its remaining two corporatw stores in the Orlando area in Waterforxd Lakes andBaldwin Park. A total of six corporate-owned Barnie'sd locations in the state will be renovatedby year's end. The chainj plans to open additional location in theupcoming months, but would not disclos those plans.
Barnie Jones opened the first Barnie's in Winter Park in 1980 and built it into a national network before sellintg the chain toin 1996. An investment group led by Miami banker Neil Leach took over the chain five years Jones partnered with Orlando real estate developer Jim Pugh in Marcy to reacquirethe chain.
