As part of the UPMC will pay 15milliobn euros, or about $22 for a 25 percent equity interest in the hospital operating company that will lease the facility from BMG. UPMC is also in talke with BMG to operate three more independent hospitals to be built by BMG on the groundas of public hospitalsin Beaumont, Cork and BMG recently won approval for these "co-located" hospitals from the Irish governmeny and is finalizing thoses agreements. Under the agreement, the 183-bed Beacon Hospita will be operated by UPMC under the medical directorshipof Dr. Mark BMG's co-founder and medical director.
